Sophia turned 2 weeks old at 6:29am. Luckily for all of us, we slept through that milestone. After being up at 12:30 and again at 3:30, it was nice that she slept until 7:15 or so after that.
We had her 2 week weight check yesterday, and she packed it on quite well, up to 7 lbs 4 oz! All she needed to do was get back up to the 6lb 12.5 oz birthweight, so she exceeded our expectations. (Let's hope that's a trait that she carries with her through life!)
Life seems to be settling into somewhat of a routine... there's not much more to do with a 2 week old than to handle eating, pooping and sleeping! The boys have been so wonderful with her, better than I could have ever expected. Dan brought her in to their room yesterday to wake them up, and laid Sophia down next to Jake on his request, he said it it was the most precious thing to see them cozied up next to one another.
Matt just likes showing her off to everyone, and touching her cheeks. They both save their quietest, sweetest little voices when talking to her... I think it's the only time I hear sweetness in their voices these days!
The boys leave this afternoon for a few days with Grampy and Grandma Sarah.. and Dan is working every day this week, so it'll just be us girls at home. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of this time and NAPPING!
